After morning in the Navan Library with the juniors it was off to Drogheda for the Highlanes reading before an audience of thirty four, thirty five if you count the man with the ladder and the roll of cable wire. launch of Swimming with Dolphins
Despite the fine evening, the early start and the fact that Ardal O'Hanlon was outside and not forgetting that 87 books had already been sold a nice crowd turned out for last evening's launch. It was great to meet old friends like Louise Scott, Brian and Brandon from Garlow Cross The Sherlock family from Gainstown Olive Falsey and a few others.
Sean Reilly sang well, very well in fact and the few young people that did turn up performed well. I would like to thank Cathy Martin and Tom French Sharon and the staff of the library and to say that work on another collection of children's poems has begun
